Office Location: Birmingham
Project Location: Mainly Midlands & South Central regions (with occasional nationwide travel)
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000
Package: Company vehicle + fuel card, pension scheme, 22 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, TOIL for weekend/bank holiday working, hybrid working model
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and driven SHEQ Advisor to support operational teams across multiple projects.
Based from the Birmingham office with regular travel to sites, this role will play a key part in supporting and promoting best practice across Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards throughout the business.
Working closely with site teams and management, you will assist in maintaining compliance, improving standards, and helping to drive a positive SHEQ culture across projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Support SHEQ systems and procedures across multiple live sites
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
- Promote behavioural safety and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions
- Support compliance with UK Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
- Provide guidance and support to site teams on SHEQ best practice
- Assist with maintaining ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
- Support toolbox talks, SHEQ briefings, and awareness initiatives
- Produce SHEQ reports, audit findings, and compliance documentation
Person Specification
Essential
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- Experience in a SHEQ, Health & Safety, or Compliance role within demolition, construction, or related sectors
- Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with site teams and management
- Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented approach
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- IOSH membership
- Experience working with ISO management systems
- Previous experience in multi-site operations
- Environmental or quality management exposure advantageous
